Caregiving Resources and Long Term Care Insurance
Is caregiving affecting your family and loved ones?
If you're wondering whether the term "caregiver" applies to you or someone in your family, it probably does. A caregiver is anyone who helps an aging, ill, or disabled family member or friend manage their day-to-day lives.
It's a demanding job that can combine routine tasks with life-changing decisions. The only thing you can know for sure about your role is that it will change as your loved one's needs change.
LMHCC's new Caregiving education seminars and website along with the Long Term Care Insurance offering will make it easier to handle the expenses and challenges of caregiving.
Whether you expect to be a caregiver or not—and especially if you've been doing it for years—it can feel overwhelming. As you scramble to make sure your loved one's needs are met, your own well-being usually gets lost in the shuffle.
In addition to your caregiving duties, you might be wondering how you will be able to pay for your own care as you age. LMHCC is now offering LTC insurance to help with that challenge.
Solutions right around the corner.
LMHCC understands how complicated caregiving can be for a family. We also understand that planning for the future is important. In the upcoming months, you will be receiving more information about:
- The New LMHCC Long Term Care Insurance Benefit
- A New Caregiver Resource Center at www.lmhcccaregiving.org
- Educational Outreach Seminars Addressing LTC and Caregiving
Long Term Care and Caregiving are complicated issues and it's okay if we don't have all the answers. Soon you will have the opportunity to learn more about these new programs and how this issue might affect you and your family. Keep an eye out for details about the new programs at work and at your home.
