Extend Health
LMHCC has partnered with Extend Health for retiree health insurance coverage. Extend Health operates the nation's largest private Medicare exchange, and has helped hundreds of thousands of retirees choose the Medicare plan that best meets their health care needs, wants and budget.
Extend Health makes it possible for Funds to continue to offer health care benefits to retirees in a financially sustainable way. With Extend Health, organizations have saved between 20% and 35% on retiree health care costs. And Funds that do not subsidize Medicare retiree health care coverage can offer retirees expert, licensed assistance to confidently select the plan that best fits their personal situation. The Extend Health Medicare retiree service includes:
Ensuring Success: Extend Health provides a management and implementation team and a complete set of services to ensure a successful transition from group plans to individual Medicare plans.
Opportunity Analysis: Before retirees begin the transition, Extend Health conducts a thorough opportunity analysis for the Fund, evaluating the carriers and plans available to your retirees by location.
Communication and Education: Extend Health offers a robust communication campaign, including a complete set of retiree communications and we assist with educating your retirees about the transition.
The Extend Health Insurance Exchange: Retirees have access to a state-of-the-art Medicare plan "marketplace" featuring over 3,500 plans from more than 70 of the nation's leading health insurers. The Extend Health insurance exchange has the industry's most powerful decision support tools to help retirees find and evaluate available plans.
Licensed Benefit Advisors: Each of our benefit advisors holds multiple state insurance licenses and pass rigorous training and carrier certification. Benefit advisors are trained to focus on customer service and receive specific education on the needs of retirees.
Subsidizing the Cost of Coverage: If you plan to provide subsidies for your retirees, Extend Health will administer the subsidy through our Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Service.
